Thermal analysis sample cup (also known as quik cup, CE cup or carbon cup) model 4050 is the expendable measuring cup used with a furnace-front thermal analyser. Molten iron is poured into the cup; the integrated thermocouple records the cooling curve and the analyser calculates the composition from the thermal arrest. Model 4050: Determination of the nodularity rate of ductile iron.
