AM002 – Straight Router Bit

Solid carbide two-flute straight cutter.

General purpose grooving, dadoing, rabbeting and template work in hard and soft wood. The Straight Bit is manufactured by amsuo with micro-grain tungsten carbide tips brazed to a hardened steel body and ground on CNC form grinders. Every batch is checked for cutting diameter, angle and concentricity before packing.

Key Features

• Two precision-ground carbide flutes for clean shearing cuts in both hard and soft wood
• Ground and lapped cutting edges keep the cutting diameter concentric to the shank
• Balanced body reduces vibration, giving a smoother finish at higher spindle speeds
• Available in 1/4" and 1/2" shanks for use in plunge routers and router tables
• Hardened steel shank ground to h6 tolerance for a secure, low-run-out fit

Specifications

Shank options: 1/4" & 1/2". All dimensions in mm unless marked otherwise. Bearing-guided versions are supplied with the bearing fitted unless ordered otherwise.

Applications

General purpose grooving, dadoing, rabbeting and template work in hard and soft wood.

Compatibility

Fits standard 1/4" & 1/2" collets and is suitable for plunge routers, fixed-base routers and router tables. Bearing-guided versions run against a template or straight edge.
